Filled my 200th journal page on Sunday and now I can't stop thinking about how I got here
I started this thing in a $3 dot grid notebook from Walmart back in March of 2023. Just a habit tracker and a grocery list, nothing fancy. Sunday night I flipped to page 200 and just stared at it for a minute.
What got me was the old pages. I looked back and half of them are just grocery lists and doodles from meetings, but the other half is this whole map of stuff I would have forgot. A page from October 2023 has a phone number of a guy named Darrell who fixed my brakes for cheap. Forgot all about him. There's a habit tracker from this spring where I hit 41 days straight on water and then just quit and never noticed.
I guess my question is what do you all do when a journal fills up? I feel weird just putting it on a shelf. Do you go back and read them? Do you pull stuff out? Mine is a cheap spiral bound thing so it's not like some nice A5 that looks good on a shelf. It's kind of ugly honestly. But I can't bring myself to toss it either.
