Hot take: that fancy doodle cover page is the biggest waste of time in your journal
I spent 4 hours on a mandala cover for January 2023 and flipped right past it every single day for a month. The spreads I actually used were the ugly three-line weekly logs I sketched in 5 minutes, and I've kept that style going for 2 years now. So why does every bujo video start with 20 minutes of ink drawing instead of just showing the layout that actually gets used?
