Lost my whole weekly spread because I tried a new pen at a cafe in Austin

I was at Jo's Coffee on South Congress last Saturday, feeling all artsy with a new Micron pen I grabbed on a whim. The ink bled through every single page of my Leuchtturm, ruining my entire week's layout and a habit tracker that took me 30 minutes to set up. Now I'm stuck testing every pen on scrap paper before I even touch my journal. Has anyone else had a pen totally wreck their setup like that?

the real move is to test the pen on the last page of your journal first, not scrap paper. that way you also find out if it ghosts through to the other side of the page lol. bleed through is the worst tho.

YES that last page trick is a GAME CHANGER for ghosting. I'm still mad about a Pilot G2 I tested on scrap paper that looked fine but bled SO bad through my Moleskine that I could read it from the other side. Now I always do the last page test, especially with wetter inks. Bleed through ruins the whole vibe of the journal for me, makes it feel messy.
