Question about recovering from a lost week in my bullet journal
Had a rough week where I missed journaling for 6 straight days. My husband got sick with a stomach bug and I was running around picking up meds and making soup. When I finally sat down Sunday night, I stared at all those blank spaces and felt totally lost. Do you guys catch up on the missed days or just skip ahead? I tried filling in one recap entry for the whole week but it felt clumsy.

Honestly I skip ahead and leave the blank spaces. You're never going to remember what happened each day well enough to fill it in properly and trying to catch up just makes you feel worse about missing the week. The whole point of a bullet journal is to move forward not get stuck looking backward. Just start fresh on Monday and call it a win.

@bailey.xena makes a solid point about blank spaces being fine, but I actually like leaving them as a weird kind of visual reminder. Like, my bullet journal is a time capsule of my life, warts and all - including the times I fell off the wagon. Sometimes flipping back and seeing that gap motivates me more than pretending it didn't happen, you know?
