That week in March when my bujo actually saved my sanity
I had one of those weeks where everything went wrong at once. My washing machine flooded on a Tuesday, I had three dogs cancel their grooming appointments, and my nephew's birthday party got moved to the same day as my dentist appointment. My bullet journal had all of it laid out in my weekly spread with time blocks and a little laundry symbol I drew for the repair guy. I actually flipped back to that page last night and laughed because without the journal I would have missed the dentist entirely and probably double-booked myself. Has anyone else had a week where your bujo felt like the only thing keeping you together?

Used to think bujo people were just being extra with their color coding and washi tape but man that week in March changed my mind too. Had a similar meltdown where my car battery died and my kid's school called about early dismissal on the same day. My simple weekly spread with just times and a little car doodle saved me from sitting in a tow truck lot wondering where my 6 year old was. Still not gonna decorate mine with stickers or whatever but I get the function now. It's less about being pretty and more about having one place where your brain can breathe.

Nodding along to this because my bujo saved me during a similar trash week. Had a flat tire on the highway and forgot my mom's birthday was that same day. My weekly spread just had the appointment times and a tiny cake doodle. But man, it kept me from sobbing in the parking lot because I could see my whole mess in one place. No stickers or fancy headers here either. Just a pen and the will to not lose my mind.
