Bought a $150 band saw blade sharpener and it ruined 3 good blades
Figured I'd save money sharpening my own blades instead of sending them out... cost me 3 good blades and 45 bucks in shipping to get them fixed after. Anyone else fall for a tool that just made more work?

Man that is rough but I feel your pain! I bought one of those cheap sharpening jigs for circular saw blades a few years back and it messed up 4 brand new blades before I gave up on it. Ended up costing me way more than just paying someone to do it right the first time. Sometimes the "money saving" tools just end up being expensive lessons in why professionals exist.

That whole "buy the tool to save money" trap gets me every time too. It seems like the savings only work out if you already know what you're doing and have the time to mess with it for a few weekends. For the rest of us, it's usually just a faster way to burn cash and get frustrated.
