Just found out my car's turn signal has 3 different click speeds and I can't stop thinking about it
I was sitting in my driveway in Tucson last week with the engine off and just flicking the stalk for no real reason when it hit me that the click changes tempo depending on how long the signal has been on. I dug around online and found a forum post from 2019 where a guy measured it with a phone app and got 84 clicks per minute for the first few seconds, then it drops to around 60. Apparently some cars do this so the driver doesn't zone out on long left turns at a stoplight. Now I'm wondering if anyone else has a car where the turn signal click is louder than the radio at low volume, because mine definitely is.
