The upside down thing gets people every time because they think the saw is what's confusing them when really it's the wall angle. Crown sits in the saw at the same angle it sits on the wall, so if you flip it you're basically cutting the mirror of what you want. I fought with this for years until an old guy showed me to just mark the ceiling line on the back of the piece and keep that mark facing up toward me. Once you do that a few times your hands just know where it goes and you stop thinking about it. The 12 year part tracks, sometimes your brain needs to see it happen before the math makes sense.

Man, that wristband thing is real. I picked up one of those little magnetic trays at Harbor Freight for like 5 bucks and it does the same job for me. Sounds dumb but I stopped losing half my screws to the grass every time.
