Update: my old ThinkPad keyboard beat everything at the office for one weird week
Last week our IT guy handed out new slim keyboards to everyone on my floor in Chicago and I plugged mine in for about 10 minutes before going back to my 2014 ThinkPad. The new ones had this soft dull thud, almost no travel, like tapping a book cover. My old board has this sharp little clack on the space bar and a tiny springy tick on the arrow keys that I never get tired of. Anyway I spent the whole week noticing it more than usual, mostly because everyone around me was complaining about the new ones by Wednesday. The best part is the power button on the laptop itself, a solid chunky click that feels like flipping a light switch. Does anyone else keep old gear around just for the sound, or am I the weird one here?
