TIL the guy at Hobby Lobby who told me to stop wasting money on glossy paper was right
Back in March I was pressing a batch of 100 buttons for a local band and the guy working the print counter at Hobby Lobby in Round Rock told me glossy photo paper was a waste and I should just use matte cardstock. I ignored him for two batches and ended up with a ton of glare and some smeared ink around the edges where the crimp rolled it. Switched to 65 lb matte cardstock on the third run and the colors actually pop better without any shine. Anyone else notice glossy stock looks worse once the Mylar cover goes on, or is that just my press?
