Customer in Lansing told me my drawer fronts were "too perfect" and it bugged me for a month
Had a woman in Lansing look at a maple vanity I built and say the grain lined up so tight it looked like laminate. I laughed it off, then kept thinking about it for a month. Next job I started pulling drawer fronts from different boards on purpose so the grain breaks up a little, and honestly the kitchen looks warmer now. Cost me maybe an extra hour of sorting per unit but nobody has called it fake looking since. Any of you ever get a comment that stuck in your head like that?
