Drawer slide fail on a $3,200 job, saved it with a shim

Last Tuesday I was installing inset drawers in a kitchen remodel over in Maplewood and the soft-close slide on one side just would not seat right. Kept catching on the cabinet frame every time I tested it, and I was already half a day behind. After cussing at it for 15 minutes I realized the frame was slightly out of square, like 3mm off, so I cut a thin maple shim and glued it to the back edge. That leveled the slide and it ran smooth as butter, but I had to adjust the face frame gap after. Has anyone else dealt with a warped cabinet box ruining your whole stack of drawers?

Yeah the cabinets always decide to play games on the last drawer. I swear they know. Maple shim is basically my goto for every "this was supposed to be straight" moment in this trade. Good save but next time just tell the cabinet it's not you, it's me and walk away for an hour.
