My lead guy in Grand Rapids said to skip the glue on drawer boxes, and 6 months later every joint is loose
He argued that brad nails alone would hold fine on the 5/8 maple sides, so I tried it on a 14-drawer kitchen job to save time. Two of those drawers now rattle at the corners and I'm pulling them apart to add glue and clamps. Has anyone else had a shortcut come back on them like this, or is glue really as non-negotiable as I think it is?
