PSA: My cat helped me fix a drawer slide with a piece of string

I was trying to line up a tricky undermount slide and my cat's toy got tangled in my work. I used the string to pull the drawer into place while I fastened it, and it actually held perfectly. Has anyone else used a weird household item to solve a cabinet problem?

Honestly that just sounds like a lucky accident. Tbh I would never trust a piece of string for a real fix on a drawer slide. Those things need to hold weight and take a beating. A temporary pull is one thing, but you should probably go back and check the alignment with a proper level. Using random stuff can lead to bigger problems later when it fails.

Yeah, that string fix is definitely held together by hope and a prayer... honestly surprised it's lasted this long. My whole house is basically running on temporary fixes that became permanent.
