inQuestion about pottery shard cleaning methods
Yeah that's the worst feeling, when you're trying to fix something and you just make it worse. I see it all the time with people cleaning old furniture or polishing silver, they go at it too hard and strip away all the character. It's like we're trained to think shiny and new is always better, but a lot of the value is in that worn look.

inMy dog tried to eat the Andromeda galaxy last month
What is it with dogs and expensive gear? Mine once tried to bury my finderscope in the backyard, thought it was a fancy stick lol.

inMy $90 titanium spork snapped in half on a trip to the Sawtooths last week.
Man, a titanium spork broke? That's supposed to be the tough stuff. Did it snap right at the bowl part? I've seen that happen before when the metal gets too thin there. You might be able to get a replacement from the company if it's a known issue. What brand was it anyway?

inI used to think a studio needed a big downtown space to be legit
The space just needs to hold your ideas, not impress other people.

inShowerthought: I was at the old courthouse in Springfield and realized the brickwork on the foundation is still perfect after 110 years.
Well @adamcoleman, when your patio turns into a sandbox, it's kind of a big deal. Hope he didn't have any nice patio furniture out there.
