Rant: pocket screws vs dowels for face frames, and I am not backing down
I used pocket screws on a maple face frame for a kitchen in Boise and got a tiny bit of creep after 5 months, but my dowel jig frames have stayed dead flat. The screws are faster, but I keep coming back to dowels for the long haul. What are you all using on painted frames vs stained ones?
