But like, is that comment really worth getting worked up over? Some people just don't get how skilled trades work. They see the final step and think that's the whole job. Maybe the guy was just trying to make conversation, even if it came out wrong.

The prep work before that final step can take half a day or more. You have to measure everything perfectly, cut it to fit, and make sure it's all level. To have all that skill reduced to "just glue" feels pretty dismissive, you know?

Ugh, tell me about it. I just show them the prep photos now, that usually shuts them up. Saves my sanity from people who think "just glue" isn't meant to tick you off.
