That feeling when a stain needs overnight to set but you're eager to move on

Yeah Diana55 is right about doubling the time. I read the can, see the minutes, and my brain just says "close enough" and I wreck it. Did the same thing with a table last summer, put a glass down way too soon. That wait feels like forever but it's always smarter to just walk away and find something else to do. Your fence probably looked great for those twenty minutes though.

Had a request to install a charging port inside a garden gnome this week.

Read this CRAZY thing about wifi getting smarter than people. It said some routers can now predict when you'll use the internet and boost signal before you even notice a problem. There was a story about a guy whose wifi kept dropping, but the router fixed itself overnight. Honestly, it's getting to the point where the tech might actually be smarter than us.

PSA: My bathroom tile job taught me to double-check measurements before mixing mortar

How many times have I rushed into mixing mortar without checking everything first? Your post hits home. I did almost the same thing with a bathroom wall, measured the space, cut all the tiles, and mixed a big batch of thin-set. Then I saw the pattern was off by half an inch because I forgot about the outlet. Had to scrape it all off while it was still wet, what a mess. Now I test fit every piece and double-check my marks with a second tape measure. It feels slow but it beats redoing the work.

Unpopular opinion: Got skilled with writing prompts, but my novels are stuck

Honestly, I used to think nailing prompts was the key to writing better. But @ryan_smith37 made me see that AI doesn't handle the actual story craft. Now I get why my own stuff feels stuck without putting in the real work.

Update: My sourdough stopped being bricks after I changed the rise spot

Did just moving it fix everything?
