A customer in Denver made me redo my whole drop setup

I was running a line through a crawlspace in a 1970s ranch and the homeowner pointed out I was bending the coax way too tight around a floor joist, so I pulled it all back and used a proper loop instead. That one comment made me realize I'd been cutting corners on bend radius for years just to save 10 minutes per job. Anyone else get a tip from a non-tech that actually stuck with you?

Damn, that hits close to home... I've been doing this for over a decade and I still catch myself rushing through stuff just to beat the clock. It's wild how a random comment from someone who doesn't even do this work can flip a switch in your brain like that. Bend radius is one of those things you know you're supposed to follow but it's so easy to blow off when you're sweating in a crawlspace at 2 PM. Good on you for actually pulling it back and fixing it, most guys would've just nodded and kept going. Sometimes the simplest observation from a customer is better than a whole training session... because it makes you stop and think about why you're doing what you're doing.
