I finally switched to a Klein VDV501-820 for toning out lines
For years I just used whatever cheap toner I had in the van, but after a job in Phoenix where I spent an hour chasing a bad tone, my buddy told me to upgrade. The signal lock on this thing is way better, especially in crowded panels. Anyone have a different toning tool they swear by?

My old toner once made me trace a line into the neighbor's garage.

Did you ever get that line out, @sethh12? I had a toner spill on my driveway last year. I used a paste of baking soda and dish soap, scrubbed it with a stiff brush, and rinsed it with the hose. It took a couple tries but it faded enough that I stopped worrying about it.

Wait, isn't toner powder, not a liquid? I had a cartridge leak once and it was this fine black dust everywhere. I used a damp microfiber cloth to wipe it up carefully so it wouldn't get ground in. A paste might just make a bigger mess if it's the powder kind. Did your spill start as a liquid, @sethh12?
