My 200-foot driveway conduit snake trick actually saved a Saturday
Had a job out in Fort Worth where the customer wanted a new line run under their driveway, but the old conduit was full of mud and debris. I tried a standard fish tape and it got stuck about 40 feet in, just spinning and making things worse. Then I remembered a tip from an old foreman about using a shop vac on the far end to pull a light pull string through first, then attaching the tape to that. Worked like a charm, cleared the whole 200 feet in under 20 minutes. Has anyone else tried the vac trick on really nasty runs, or do you have a better way to clear packed conduit?
