Update: I cleaned a Nikon F2 viewfinder with Windex and it fogged up like a shower door
So last month I picked up a beat up F2 at a flea market in Toledo for 40 bucks and the viewfinder was full of gunk. Figured Windex on a q tip would cut right through it since the glass looked sealed, but about ten seconds in the whole prism turned milky white and I just stood there holding it. Turns out the cement on those old prisms is not fans of ammonia, and yes I know better now. Anyone got a trick for re-cementing a prism or should I just start hunting for a parts body?
