Was told to ditch Canva for Figma, now I miss my timelines
My coworker Dave at the agency in Phoenix kept saying Figma was the only way for web mockups, so I switched for a landing page project last month. He was right about the prototyping being smoother, but I spent 2 hours fighting with auto layout when Canva would have taken me 10 minutes for the hero section. Do you guys actually use both tools depending on the task, or am I crazy for wanting to bounce back and forth?

Totally get the frustration, auto layout can eat a whole afternoon if you don't live in Figma every day. Nothing wrong with bouncing between both, most folks I know keep Canva around for quick stuff like hero sections or social cuts and only open Figma when a client wants real clickable prototypes. Sounds like Dave just assumes one tool fits every job, which is never true. Do what gets the page done without losing your mind.
