My windshield cracked from a pebble on I-35 and I learned the hard way
Last month I was heading north on I-35 near Round Rock. A dump truck kicked up a small rock, nothing big. I heard the tap and thought it was fine. Two days later a crack ran across the whole driver side. My insurance deductible was $500, but a repair shop wanted $380 for replacement. I waited too long, that was my mistake. The tiny chip turned into a mess because temperature swings made it spread. Now I check any nick right away and use a $15 repair kit for small stuff. Has anyone had luck stopping cracks before they grow? I feel like the kits are hit or miss.
