I was shipping my dad's 68 Chevelle from Oklahoma to Arizona last spring and kept getting $1,400 quotes that felt random until a dispatcher at a yard in Tulsa told me brokers just mark up whatever a driver says yes to that week. She gave me 3 carrier names and even told me which one her own uncle uses. Has anyone else had luck skipping brokers like that, or is it too risky with an old car?
