Can we talk about enclosed vs open transport for a cross country move?
I always went with open carriers because they were cheaper, but a guy on a forum told me my winter move from Minneapolis to Phoenix was asking for trouble with road salt and rocks. I went enclosed that time and paid about $1,400 more, but the car showed up spotless with zero new chips. Now I'm torn. Is enclosed actually worth the extra cash every time, or was I just lucky with the open guys before? What do you all factor in when deciding?

Minneapolis salt is brutal, but Phoenix dust storms can sand your paint too.
