Bootcamp grad with a $12k certificate versus my cousin who learned on the job, and only one of them is getting callbacks in Nashville
I keep going back and forth on whether the structured program or the hands on route wins out, because she has a portfolio and he has 3 years of real tickets under his belt. Which one would you hire?

Tbh my own bootcamp cert is somewhere in a drawer collecting dust so I'm not the one to ask. But real tickets and a portfolio are two different things, and hiring managers seem to care way more about the tickets. Gut says the cousin, but the grad might do better in a bigger market.
