Heard a guy in the break room say you should never take a pay cut to change fields, now I'm not so sure
A coworker at my warehouse in Fresno told me last week he turned down a $4 an hour pay cut to move into IT support because his dad said you never go backwards. Half of me thinks that's smart because bills don't care about your five year plan, but the other half thinks staying at $23 an hour forever is its own kind of backwards. Has anyone here actually taken the pay cut and come out ahead, or was it as bad as everyone warned?
