Hit 3 rejections in one week and it actually helped me

I had three job interviews fall through last month in Cleveland. Two said I was overqualified and one said underqualified for the same type of role. Made me think about whether hitting a certain number of rejections is a sign to change direction or just part of the process. Anyone else find that a specific rejection count pushed them to pivot or double down?

You ever notice how life has this weird way of balancing itself out? Last year I had three straight weeks where every little thing went wrong, then out of nowhere three good opportunities showed up. Sometimes those rejections are just the universe clearing space for something that actually fits, but it's hard to see in the moment. What made you keep going after those three fell through?

Three rejections in one week sounds brutal, honestly. I remember my own record was four in a single week back in 2019 and it made me question everything about my career path. It's such a gut punch when you get two opposite reasons for the same role, like they're just making stuff up to fill in the form. I think sometimes a pile of rejections can be a weird gift though, it forces you to stop and look at the big picture instead of just grinding away. Good on you for keeping your head up and looking for meaning in it.
