Visited a co-working space in Denver and noticed their career coaching setup
I stopped by a co-working space in Denver last week called The Village Works. They had a dedicated room with three career coaches rotating in on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 30 minute slots at $25 each. Has anyone tried a setup like that, or do you think it's better to go through a longer term coaching program?

Is $25 for 30 minutes really enough to get anything useful done? I mean, a 30 minute slot sounds super rushed to me. You're barely getting past the small talk before the time's up. Those longer coaching programs can be pricey but at least you get some actual depth and follow through. Feels like this setup is more for people who just want a quick pep talk or a resume glance rather than real career work. I don't know, maybe I'm overthinking it but 30 bucks feels like a lot for what's basically a snack break worth of advice.

Coffee dates used to last two hours, now everyone's trying to fit their lives into 30 minute slots. It's like we're all speed running basic human interaction. Saw a guy the other day at a diner literally timing his phone call with his mom, it's that same energy. So maybe $25 for half an hour of coaching is actually just the going rate for our collective inability to slow down, @alicebarnes. Not saying the longer programs don't have value, but sometimes people just need a quick nudge not a full life overhaul.
