Debating if those expensive zero-clearance saw blades are worth it or just hype

I used to swear by my $30 Freud blades for years, but after swapping to a $120 Forrest blade on a big built-in job last month, I'm not sure if I saw a real difference or just imagined it. Has anyone else gone back and forth on this and landed one way or the other?

Used to roll my eyes at guys dropping that much on a blade, thought it was all the same steel spinning in circles. Picked up a used Forrest blade for half price and did a big crown molding run, the finish was so clean I barely had to sand anything. Now I get the hype, but I'd still never pay full retail for one new.
