The before and after of my morning routine blew my mind after just 10 days

Tried it once, sat in silence, and immediately started planning my breakfast in my head, so that backfired.

Hit my 500th crane lift last Thursday without even realizing it till I was done

That's wild that 500 just crept up on you like that lol. I actually read something in a safety newsletter about how crane operators often lose track of their count because the routine becomes so automatic after a while. The article said most guys remember their early lifts way more than the later ones because you're so nervous and focused back then. Makes me wonder how many times I've spaced out and missed a cool milestone like that myself.

Visited a job site in Nashville where the crew was buttering every brick face

@diana_bell74 that shed likely cracked from improper mortar mix, not buttering.

Can we talk about how I thought a 15-minute daily team huddle was a waste of time until our studio in Charlotte tried it for a month and our project handoff errors dropped by like 40%

Commit messages are for the record, huddles are for the moment.

Finally picked the Sony over the Canon for my desert shoot

The Sony color thing is way overblown online. I shot a full wedding in Death Valley last month and the raw files were so clean I barely touched the sliders. If you're spending hours fixing colors on Sonys you need to learn how to set a custom white balance before you shoot, not blame the camera. Twenty seconds with a grey card and the red rocks looked exactly like they did in person. Canon's menu system is years behind and their lens prices are robbery.
