My old framing nailer finally gave up on a job site last Tuesday. Sounded like a cough more than a bang.

I was working on a roof truss job in Greenville, nothing special just a basic ranch house. About 10:30 in the morning my Bostitch coil nailer just started acting up. Would fire sometimes, other times it would just click. I spent like 30 minutes trying to clear a jam, swapped air fittings, even oiled it up again. Nothing worked. Ended up finishing the day with a hammer and hand nails like a real caveman. My wrist is still sore three days later. Anyone else had a tool just give up the ghost right in the middle of something? What did you switch to?

Buddy of mine had his Hitachi framing nailer lock up mid-rafter on a garage build. Took a sledge to it and bought a Paslode cordless that afternoon.

Mid-rafter" is about the absolute worst place to test a warranty, that's for sure.

Bet that was a tough day for your buddy @pipergonzalez. Nothing like swinging a sledge at a tool you just bought to really test your patience. I've seen guys get so fed up they toss the whole rig off the ladder, then spend the next hour crawling through the mud looking for it. Paslode's not a bad choice either, they're usually dead simple to fix if something does go wrong. Ever had one of those moments where you just had to walk away before you did something stupid?
