A late material delivery taught me a useful backup plan

Last job, the carpet padding arrived two days behind schedule. The homeowner was pressing for a finish date. I had some spare padding rolls in my van from an earlier install. By cutting and fitting them carefully, I covered the floor without issues. Now I never leave for a job without extra supplies.

I mean I always thought that was overkill, but a missed delivery last year changed my mind fast.

Totally get that. One bad experience with porch pirates or a lost package can make all the tracking alerts worth it. It's just peace of mind, really.
