Showerthought: that bubble in the hallway carpet in Fort Wayne still bugs me 3 years later
Back in 2021 I laid about 60 yards of berber in a rental house up in Fort Wayne and there was this one spot by the hallway closet that never sat flat. I stretched it twice, kicked it again, even pulled the tack strip and reset it, and it still had a little bump you could feel with your sock. The homeowner never noticed and paid me in full, but I think about that hallway every time I load my van. Was it probably a hump in the subfloor I should have floated first? Curious what you all do when the deck isn't flat and the customer won't pay for leveling.
