The expo line rule I stole from a Nashville brunch spot

Worked a popup at a place in Nashville last spring, 3rd service was chaos. The expo there kept yelling 'fire 86' for anything running low, not just stuff we were out of. I thought it was dumb til we killed 9 tickets in 6 minutes flat because everyone knew what to prep next. Anyone else got a kitchen hack from a random spot that just clicked?
