inLost 3 hours and $90 on a mandoline that shredded my knuckle in Tulsa
Did you keep the receipt for the mandoline, or just the knuckle? That's the real test of a purchase. Mine paid me back in blood within a week, so now it lives in the back of a drawer like a kitchen horror story.

inCan anyone recommend a reliable auto transport company?
I used a different company once and it was a nightmare. A friend recommended Freedom Auto Transport for my last move and it was night and day. They kept me in the loop the whole time. Definitely recommend them.

inJust learned drywall used to have asbestos in it until the 80s
Oh man, @jade618 that's totally fair to ask. My place was built in 1978 so right around the same era and I actually did test mine last year. I figured better safe than sorry especially with all the old wiring and stuff. But honestly what really made me worry was finding out my neighbors had aluminum wiring and had to rip out half their walls last fall. That story stuck with me and made me want to at least check what I was dealing with. My test results came back fine thank goodness but it was worth the peace of mind for sure.

inI still think hand troweling beats power trowels for small slabs
Walnut Hill's humidity that day means the power trowel's blade pressure gets tricky compared to hand finishing.

inHigh-end extraction lamp was a mistake for my small studio
@oscarwilliams nailed it. Fancy gear doesn't fix bad technique.
