Spent $180 on a spinning brush kit, total game changer for creosote buildup
I fought with hand brushes for 6 years on a tough commercial flue in Louisville, but after trying a $180 rotary kit on a 12 inch terra cotta liner last Tuesday, the crust came off in half the time, has anyone else made the switch and noticed their shoulders actually surviving the season?

Watch the bearings on those kits, the creosote dust will eat them faster than the crust, so lube em every few jobs or you're back to hand brushing by February.

You had the same problem with the drive gears on yours too, right? I burned through two sets last winter before I started greasing em after every third job, @barnes.kai is spot on with that.
