Switched from a wire brush to poly brushes on clay tile liners and the difference was night and day
I was using a standard 8 inch wire brush for years and kept getting callbacks on clay tile jobs, mostly small chips and cracks near the top. Picked up a poly brush set back in March for a job in a 1920s house and the rods ran smoother with way less drag. The wire was just too aggressive on older tile, and I was probably cracking some without knowing. Has anyone else made this switch, and do you still keep wire in the van for certain flues?

Did you keep the wire for really bad creosote?
