Switched to a rotary chimney brush last month and it cleaned worse than the flat wire one I've used for 12 years
I figured the spinning action would scrape creosote faster on a two story colonial in Annapolis, but it left a glazed ring about 4 inches up that I had to go back and hand scrub a week later. Anyone else find that the old flat brush just bites better on heavy buildup, or am I using the rotary wrong?
Had a similar thing happen with a spinning scrubber I bought for my bathroom tile. It spun fast and looked fancy, but the grout still needed a hand brush to come clean. Sometimes the old way just works better, and the extra speed does not make up for it.
