That Tuesday I pulled 3 buckets of creosote from one flue

I had a job last week up in Maplewood that I barely landed. Old Victorian with a wood burner that had not been touched in maybe 5 years. Got up on the roof and the cap was almost completely blocked with tar. I ran my rotary kit through it and ended up pulling out about 3 full buckets of hard creosote flakes. The homeowner watched from the driveway and asked if that was normal. I told him normally I see maybe half a bucket on a neglected flue but this was next level. Has anyone else run into a single flue that was just packed way worse than expected?

I mean, idk if 3 buckets is totally unheard of but maybe it's just me thinking that's kind of a lot even for a really bad one. I've pulled close to that on a few old oil burner conversions that nobody touched for years though.
