Client signed off on dark blue at 4pm, then claimed she saw green at 9am
I had a branding client in Denver who approved a dark blue logo over an emailed proof at 4pm on a Tuesday. Nine days later she emails me a screenshot of her phone at 9am the same day, same subject line, and says the color was clearly green. When I opened the two files side by side the pixel values matched exactly, zero difference. Turns out she had night shift mode on for the afternoon version and normal mode when she re-checked in the morning. She pushed back for a full week before I sent her both hex codes with a screenshot of her own phone settings. So now I never take final color approvals on a phone screen, only print proofs or a call with the actual swatch on camera. How do you all handle the ones who approve on mobile and then swear the color shifted?
