Can we talk about the day I unplugged my chest freezer and finally checked the meter

Doubt unplugging a freezer proves much of anything. You just turned off one thing and watched the little wheel spin slower. Big deal. A freezer only kicks on a few times an hour, so of course the meter slows down, that happens with any big appliance. Try unplugging your fridge, your AC, and your water heater all at once and see if you still feel like a hero. The meter slowing for one chest freezer doesn't mean you found some secret, it means you maybe saved ten bucks a month. Was it worth losing all that frozen food?
