Carbon offset programs looked like a scam until I actually tracked the money
I bought offsets for my flights for 3 years but never looked into where the cash went. Then I visited a reforestation project near Austin, Texas last fall that was funded by the same company I used. They showed me the satellite data and a map of 2,000 acres they'd planted since 2019. Has anyone else verified their offset programs on the ground?

Yeah I went and checked the Virginia one and it was legit... they showed me the actual planting records.
