Reminds me of my buddy's smart thermostat. It kept blasting AC in winter because it was set for a different floor plan. Some systems just don't adapt well to unique spaces.

Yeah, for sure. There's no way that thermostat was even close to calibrated right for their actual layout. I actually just saw a thing online where a guy with a split level house had the same issue because his sensor was in a hallway that was always warmer. You basically have to map out where the temperature changes happen in your own home or it's gonna fight itself constantly. Did they ever get a pro to look at it or just give up on the whole thing?
