A client in Austin told me my file naming was the reason she almost quit, and it stung because she was paying me
She said she spent 45 minutes hunting for the newest logo file because I had stuff like final_v3_REAL.ai sitting next to logo working copy.ai. That hit hard because I always blamed clients for messy folders, not myself. Now I name everything date first (2024-06-14_client_logo_master.ai) and keep one README.txt in each project root. Has anyone here found a naming rule that actually holds up when you are rushing at 11pm?
