Switched my design files from date-based folders to client-based folders, and my Monday mornings got 10x easier
For 2 years I saved everything as 2023-11-15-logo-final.ai and I could never find anything without searching. Last month I switched to one folder per client, with just 3 subfolders inside: active, archive, and assets. Now when a client emails me at 7am I have their stuff open in under 30 seconds instead of digging through 40 date folders. Does anyone else sort by client, or do you run project-based folders that work better?
