Update: I stopped naming files 'final_v2' and started using dates, wish I did it 3 years ago
Used to save everything as clientname_final, then clientname_final_REAL, then clientname_final_USE_THIS_ONE. Last month I had 47 versions of the same flyer and could not tell which one I sent to the printer. Switched to a plain date and a one word note, like 2024-06-11_flyer_print. Now I can sort a folder and see the timeline in two seconds instead of opening every file. Anyone else got a naming trick that actually stuck?
