A press guy in Fort Worth told me my teal was muddy and showed me why
I was printing these teal shirts for a local soccer club and could not figure out why they looked dull compared to my screen. A press operator named Ray glanced at my file and said my teal was built on too much cyan and not enough yellow. He pulled up my percentages and showed me I was sitting around 80C 20M 40Y 5K, which just reads gray-green under most inks. I dropped the black to zero and pushed yellow up to about 55, and the print finally popped like the screen did. Does anyone else build teals with no black at all, or do you keep a touch in for depth?
