Hot take: I found out last Tuesday that my printer was never set to CMYK, it was RGB the whole time
I was going through my printer settings after a job came back looking like a neon sign and I found a dropdown I had never opened before. It said RGB at the top, not CMYK. I'd been sending files to this thing for 8 months. The manual page I pulled up on my phone said the default was RGB from the factory and I just never checked. Now I'm sitting here wondering how many of my jobs got quietly run through a color conversion I didn't ask for. Has anyone else found a setting buried this deep that was messing things up the whole time?
